Does anyone else get pissed off by the cashiers at the grocery store...?

... who always pretend that they know everyone by name. When I go grocery shopping and I'm at the cash register and slide in my rewards card or pay with my credit card and they see my full name, they always have to call me by my name as if they knew me personally. It's stronger than them, apparently! Moreover, they can't get the pronounciation right. It drives me completely bananas! I always have to tell them to please not even bother pronouncing my name. But then they say... "Oh,... OK then! Bye Gwen!" as if we were buds!!! Why can't they simply say "Bye, have a nice day!" or something along those lines, without saying the name?" Both parties know that it's a fake "relationship" anyway. So why being fake? I find it really annoying personally! Does anyone else agree/disagree?
