Is Huckabee too much like Bush?
A Republican candidate playing to the evangelical Christian vote, making strong statements about his faith and coming from a southern state. Sound familiar? It should. That's how President Bush got elected twice. Now, I'm not really against Bush, but I definitely don't want another four or eight years of a Bush clone. We've followed the Bush doctrine, and to some extent it has served us well. But I'm ready for something new; and a new direction for America. I won't support a Democrat, although if I did I'd go for Joe Biden; and I won't support Giuliani or Romney. They're both flip-floppers who've turned rightwards in recent years to ingratiate themselves with America's conservative base. And I'm not ready to support someone as flammable and bumbling as Ron Paul. Maybe it seems like I'm basically cutting out half the Republican field. I guess there are two things I'm asking: Is Huckabee too much like Bush, and if he is, who would you support? I'm looking for some in depth answers. Thanks
