Should I be seeing ANY yellow flames in my fireplace?

I have a gas fireplace and I know that yellow flames is a sign that the fuel is burning improperly. Is ANY amount of yellow in the otherwise blue flame an indication of a bad burn or is there an acceptable amount of yellow? Just the tips of the flame is yellow but there are no adverse effects from the fire (meaning no dizziness, etc. from possible carbon monoxide poisoning).
