Why wont my file sharing program ares work right anymore?

Ok heres my problem, for about a week now a file sharing program I use called ares galaxy hasn't been working right were beforehand I never had any problems.what's wrong is it wont let me download anything now it just keeps saying it's searching but it never finds any results but other people have no problems whatsoever uploading things from me so i'm totally stumped as to what's causing this problem all of a sudden because i've tried checked my security on my computer to see if somethings it trying to block the program but I can't find anything and it seems to me if that was the case then I would think it would just block the whole program and not just parts of it.so if anyone who has this program to or can think of what i'm missing or could be wrong so I can fix this please let me know.thank you.
