Difference between daughter having kids and son having kids?

My suggestion is to tell your DIL that you don't want her to feel that you are ignoring her child in favor of your daughter's. Tell her you don't want to be pushy or step on her toes and if she wants more involvement, let you know. If you make it clear that you want to be a good MIL, I think things will go very well.
