Facebook etiqette situation-please advise me?

i h8 that some1 can put up unflattering photos without asking U! i just got "tagged" with 2 awful photos.they meant well-pix with me and my granddaughter.but,i look bloody awful.the temp was 101 degrees that day-i look like ive been thru a war! if i take the photos off my wall,will my son in law see that?i dont want to offend his well-intentioned gesture.if removed from my wall,are they still visible on all my friends pages,or will that stop the world from seeing them?i'll admit i'm vain.i want my old school friends and especially ex boyfriends,to see only good pix of me! i only took 2 that day and he posted them,aaargh!yes,how i look does still matter.i'm not an old grandmother yet,i'm 38.(i married an older man-50-i am the step-granny.)i dont want to offend any1 by removing the pix,but i dont want people to think i look fat and sweaty either,it was not a good day for my looks!should i click "remove",or not?
