How much does it cost to adopt a dog in your area?

dog dog dog! sorry last time it posted in adoption just wanted to be clear. lol Anyways- I adopted my Carly,akita mix, for 50 which included having her spayed and her shots up until I got her. We recently moved to a town about an hour away and wanted to adopt another addition but the fees here which include the 'fix' and shots is 175 for dog or puppy but 190 for b pitbull. Just wondering what the costs are in your area and opinions on the dramatic differences such as I mentioned. Also, why more for a Pit? As high as the price is already plus the mandatory fix should be enough to deter byb's and fighters shouldn't it? Is the extra really necessary? Again just looking for opinions. Thinking we're just going to go back to our home town to adopt.
