I have an extremely territorial male cat!?

Will bringing my cousins kitten over and putting him in another room cause my cat to spray? Or what will he do? I hate to do this to my Rudy and stress him out. My cousin is irresponsible and needs a place to keep this kitten for the day. But his scent will be where we keep him and piss my cat off more....
