Is Hollywood seeing potential in Anime?

hollywood desperatly wants to scoop up animes now because they can make a crap load of money, however they know that fans will make or break the movies so i say don't get your hopes up on naruto or bleach and heres why: Ghost in the shell, Akira, Battle Angel which are in the words are simple animes that you can translate to a feature film because they are mainly based on a topic with a message behind it. naruto and bleach and many other animes that have more then 3 seasons are nearly impossible because its too much story to cover, either you tell the main story and cut back character development and backgrounds or the other way around. i cannot imagine being able to tell the whole story of either naruto/bleach in three 2 1/2 hour movies, it would have to be so damn good that the fans would be happy and convince those who don't know the show to watch it. i'm all for it, and i hope they can do the macross series decently, but some animes just IMO can't be made into movies, they are just fine the way they are
